Quite a lot of wines tasted on the South American wine tour
Over fourteen days you have the time to taste quite a few wines and visit quite a few vineyards. It can sometimes even be hard to keep track of how many wines you have tasted. Sometimes the winemaker comes along with one or two additional things, just for the fun of it, that little extra special. Sometimes you get to taste samples from tank or from barrels. And so on. And sometimes it is simply hard to keep track, for instance if you are tasting 17 wines in a row.
Here are in any case most of the wines that we tasted, savoured and drank on the wine tour to Argentina and Chile in South America!
Don’t be sad if you were not there. You will get another chance later!
(And if you were on the trip, if there is one or two wines that you don’t recognise, then it can be because some of the ones below were at a dinner or a wine bar. On the other hand, I am sure that you have some wine memories (or photos) that I don’t have!)
Let’s start in Argentina
For the first lunch, there are no pictures…:
- Norton Espumante Brut
- Sauvignon Blanc Alamos, Catena Zapata
- Malbec Nieto Senetiner
But after that, here are the pictures.
Plus a number of Dolium wines from tank and from barrel:
- Malbec-Bonarda-Syrah-Cabernet – special blend for China 2011
- Syrah 2012
- Syrah Reserva
- Malbec 2012
- Luján de Cuyo 2011
- Luján de Cuyo 2010
And then to Chile:
That’s all! At least almost all.
