Restaurateurs’ and Sommeliers’ Wine Tour

Wine making, wine culture and gastronomy

For those working in a restaurant, perhaps as a sommelier, a part of the course/wine tour will focus on food and wine pairing. We will discuss regional gastronomic specialities and how you can match these with local and other wines. We will also visit food markets and restaurants where we will discuss the latest food trends with the chefs.

On our tour we will visit a number of wine growers to get an update on the latest in viticulture and oenology. Visits to local food producers, for example, olive oil, foie gras, oysters, cheese and truffles, depending on the region, will also be part of the programme – indeed, we may even visit one of the the annual truffle markets that are held in villages in France and Italy.

This is an example of a custom-designed wine tour.
