We have finalised all the details for the wine and food tour to South Africa in March 2012. We can promise an even better wine travel experience than last time!
We will of course spend quite some time in Stellenbosch that is the focal point for most of the South African wine regions – just like last time. But there will be a few new items on our wine to-do list. For example, we have added Durbanville and Wellington to the visits, two wine regions where there has been a lot of interesting recent developments, but that very few (far too few) people visit. We will also have a number of days in “our” charming guest house in Franschhoek – with a gorgeous pool and a family braai – where we will also visit several wineries.
We are also proposing an add-on module of a very luxurious safari – two days in the wilderness, but a very comfortable wilderness! We can not guarantee the Big Five of course, but last time we were there we saw four out of the five! And I can assure you that you feel very small when you are sitting in an open jeep only 15 meters away from two lions…
If you want to have an in-depth look at what South Africa has to offer in wine and food, and also have a few leisurely days with “regular” tourism then you should try our South African wine tour!
This tour is currently offered as a custom tour in English and as a scheduled wine tour in March 2012 on our Scandinavian wine tour program.
