A traveller, or actually a couple, who travelled with us on one of our wine tours this past autumn, to Portugal and the Douro sent us a short mail:
We have to express our great appreciation of the tour, the Adventure Tour with breathtaking drop heights without safety rails. but after the first wine tasting it was worth it. What wines and Sandra, and also Quinta da Tedo were the most memorable moments, apart the wonderful knowledge and entertainment from Britt and Per. Wonderful travel companions and Pousada Solar da Redes 40 year old tawny was an experience!

I think we need to explain the “adventure tour” part. the Douro Valley is an exceptionally spectacular wine region, where the roads meander up the steep hillsides and sometimes seem not to be much broader than the wheel axis.
We agree that it was a very exciting wine tour thanks to all the wine producers we met and all the wines we tasted. And tanks to all the participants!
