A wine tour to the Piedmont, or Piemonte as they say in Italy, is of course full of winery visits and excellent wines. But there is also plenty of delicious food and time for some other pleasures. If it takes place in the autumn there is sure to be quite a lot of truffles too!
We received a mail from Anne and Karl Eric who was on a wine tour to the Piedmont with us recently. We would like to share that feedback with you. It is such a pleasure to receive that kind of mails!
Now we come back from an amazing trip around the Piedmont. All of us in our travel group agreed that this had been an exceptionally successful wine tour. Very well organized and conducted. Creative, exciting and educational. We are left with the feeling of having experienced a very good cross-section of both wineries, wines and the nature in Piedmont.
Thanks to Asa’s network we felt that we got closer to some people and environments than what is perhaps normal. Also both exciting, challenging and fun was eating out in the evenings at Asa’s specially selected restaurants.
We were extremely pleased with Asa as our tour guide and also with our excellent bus driver who ensured safe and comfortable transportation. That we had summer and sunny skies every day on the tour put, as we say in Norwegian, the dot over the “i”
We have not been home for many days yet, but already we have given many recommendations to other travel-loving friends. And, not least, perhaps we can plan another trip together some time, but then most likely it will be France and its vineyards that lures us. Will we meet then?
The best greetings from,
Anne and Karl Erik
We certainly look forward to seeing you again, in France or elsewhere!
