Bordeaux, world-famous but still many hidden gems to discover | wine tour

If you must pick only one wine region to visit in France, Bordeaux would be a good choice. It is world-famous, but there are still a lot of things people don’t know about Bordeaux. The famous Grand Cru Classé chateaux are stunning but to see also the smaller, less famous estates adds to the Bordeaux experience.

Bordeaux is close to the Atlantic Ocean, but you never see the Ocean from the vineyards. It does influence the wines, though. In Bordeaux, they say that the wines’ balance comes from being close to the Ocean and the big rivers Garonne and Dordogne. It seldom gets too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter.

Perfect levels of acidity and tannins make Bordeaux wines ideal for ageing, but it is not a requirement. You can enjoy them early as well. Discover this magnificent region with us.
