You can find some of Portugal’s best red and white wines in the Douro Valley. A renaissance has taken place in this region in the last few decades, previously only known for port wine. Wine & Soul is one of the pioneers.
When Sandra Tavares and Jorge Borges started Wine & Soul in 2001, their aim was to show the world that the Douro Valley can produce high-quality red wines. Nobody doubts that today. We met Sandra in October 2020 on one of our very few wine tours that autumn.
She told us how it all started.
