Sometimes the best vineyards are hidden away on the smallest roads. That’s certainly the case for Oldenburg Vineyards. I can’t claim to be competent to pronounce it THE best, but it is certainly up there among the top. It is hidden away in a really difficult-to-find place.
“Top” is also something you can say about their vineyards, some of the highest in Stellenbosch. They make a wide range of wines – a sign of an winemaker keen on experimenting – all worth exploring.
