I recently wrote about wine regions which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here comes the next wine district.
The Douro Valley is on the UNESCO World Heritage List partly thanks to its stunning vineyard scenery. This is very well deserved. Douro Valley in northern Portugal is one of the world’s most spectacular wine country landscapes. They are most famous for their port wines of course but today they also make top-class “table wines”.
The Douro Valley is also, with good reason, one of our most popular wine tour destinations. We usually have at least one tour there every year, sometimes several. A wine tour that you will not forget in a hurry.
The next wine tour to the Douro Valley will be in October.
Read more on the wine regions that have been included on the Unesco World Heritage list; the next article will be published in a day or so.
